PokerTracker Sponsored Player Ben Lamb Takes Third in WSOP Main Event

If you haven't already heard, PokerTracker served as the sponsor of Ben Lamb, who is known worldwide by his online handle "Benba" and finished third in the World Series of Poker Main Event earlier this week. Lamb capped off an amazing run that ended in the Las Vegas resident cashing for just over $4,000,000.

Lamb wore a Poker Tracker logo throughout his November Nine final table appearance abd had a remarkable run at this year's WSOP with four final tables, including an outright victory in the $10,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha World Championship event for over $814,000.

His other significant 2011 WSOP cashes include a runner-up performance in a $3,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha tournament for nearly $260,000 along with an eighth place showing in the $50,000 buy-in Poker Player’s Championship for another $201,000. His outstanding results prompted WSOP officials to name him the 2011 Player of the Year.

Lamb's online statistics are also impressive. He has well over $1,000,000 in career cashes, highlighted by his 2009 FTOPS victory in a $240 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Knockout event for $146,300.

Lamb's WSOP Main Event run ended Tuesday, November 8th when he lost a key all-in pre-flop coin flip when his K-J failed to improve against Martin Staszko's pocket sevens. The showdown result placed Lamb at a severe disadvantage three-handed and he busted out a few hands later. In spite of the outcome, Lamb was in high spirits and made a trip to Stoney's Las Vegas to celebrate his accomplishment.
